About me
Jane Latham MHGI, HG Dip
Having spent all my adult life in London I know only too well the pressures we all face in a fast-paced environment, where at times it can be hard to prioritize our wellbeing, or even to notice what’s happening until problems have really taken hold.

Over the years I have had the opportunity to learn and grow from a host of life experiences including overcoming serious emotional and physical health issues, and holding down a high-powered job as a single mum.
This has meant drawing on a range of resources within and around me, including nourishing food, friendships, physical activities and therapeutic tools. Early on I learnt that anchoring my mind with a morning meditation practice gave me a more balanced perspective, and an ability to think more clearly, intuitively and positively.
In time I noticed myself becoming a haven of calm for family, friends and colleagues, taking the time to listen, help them get to the heart of their issues and identify a way forward. Feeling it to be a natural direction for my life to be taking, I was inspired to retrain in order to offer this support professionally. Practical, straightforward and solutions- focused, the Human Givens approach has proved to be an ideal framework for me to work within. Since completing my training and becoming a registered therapist in 2018, I have facilitated numerous positive shifts in emotional wellbeing, often over the course of just a handful of sessions.
Meanwhile I have continued to build on my knowledge, training in various therapeutic modalities including Internal Family Systems, Gabor Mate’s compassionate Enquiry, Polyvagal theory, Self-compassion and Positive Intelligence. These offer different insights and tools for me to apply within the organising framework of the Human Givens approach. I use my experience and intuition to draw on whatever model feels the most helpful depending on the circumstances.
My life experience has also taught me that to enjoy a rich, rewarding and fulfilling life requires optimum health in both mind and body. In addition to my psychotherapy work I offer two body-focused practices:
